Cat and I have followed each other on Instagram for what feels like years, she’s a mega babe with great style and adorable kids! Cat is also the owner of a dead cool vintage shop Cats Eye, an online store full of pastels, floral dresses and blazers. I’ve always loved Cat’s style so when she messaged me asking if I’d like to be gifted a piece, I jumped (and then spent an hour trying narrow down all the things I liked to try and choose just one!).
I decided this midi floral number was my favourite. It’s not something I’d usually go for but the neck line caught me, the colours are bold and I adore the print. I LOVE dresses that can be worn with trainers and Dr Martens but can also be worn to a smart event or wedding (if I get any wedding invites this year, I’ll be wearing this dress).
Saying that, I’ll also be wearing this dress with boots and a t-shirt over the top or a big warm jumper on those chilly summer evenings. This dress was originally from Paul Costello and because it’s cut on the bias the size 14 label doesn’t mean much. The pieces Cat chooses varying in sizing but I think with vintage pieces the sizing labels don’t mean much and if you fall for a piece (like I did for this dress) you can make it work!
Definitely have a look at Cat Eyes on ASOS Marketplace HERE, every piece is so affordable!
Similar to the dress I chose is this dress, it’s the same colours but also has a fab collar! I’m also loving these khaki trousers, very military. And this silky dress which was the other dress I was toying between.
All in all, Cats Eye is a total dream for affordable vintage pieces and I’ll definitely be keeping my eye on their new in!
